Question to any Master/Champ level pilots here. I don't have any leveled Shocketrains yet, but my one Bulgasari is reaching level 11 by this weekend.
I think it's either 3 Shocktrains or 3 Scourges for my Bulgasari, as these look to be the only weapons that can both fire at a target while using the shield AND still be relevant once the Spectre gets here. My gut tells me that the Bulgasari itself will get very squishy at under 500 meters once the Specter arrives since it will get owned by Quad Tulu Specters (2 salvos of quad Tulus at Mk2/12 is slightly over 220K splash damage). This means to me that close range weapons of any kind aren't a choice for my new Bulgasari.
I don't have the resources to obtain or outfit the Bulgasari with both sets of weapons (STs or Scourges), so with upcoming Specter in mind, what would you recommend my outfit my Bulgasari with?

If, as the title indicates, this is a question regarding whether to use Shocktrains or scourges on a Bulgasari to counter the arrival of the Roach, my advice would be...
Run.
In all seriousness, a good Roach pilot won't wait around in the open to let you kill him. Any shots you get will mostly be at stealthed mechs, or else they'll be hiding behind cover. Both are clear indicators for the Shocktrain...there's a reason it's known as the most OP weapon in the game. It's the only real Roach counter: deals high burst damage, so the few shots you do land will hurt; allows at least some semblance of standoff range, especially on a Dash mech; if chained, will deal damage to stealthed targets as well as targets behind cover.
Scourge, by contrast, requires time and a direct sight line to deal damage, and it only deals max damage at close range. And then there's target lock, which is something Roach will be REALLY good at avoiding thanks to stealth. Basically, the Scourge will be the worst possible weapon to go Roach-hunting with.
P.S. Put whatever stock you want in my opinion. I'm retired from War Robots. Never climbed above Expert II league, iOS. The above statement is purely based on deductive reasoning and my own observations based on gameplay reports of others.

Dont worry, eventually pix will come out with a weapon that can hit reds while they are in stealth mode

If you have the resources wait and get the spectre. Should cost less than 3 Shocktrains. This will give you a big advantage over most people who just have Bulgs.

I just saw some footage of the Spectre. Definitely go for the Shocktrains instead of the Scourge. If you get a bead on the Spectre, you won't have it for long, so you might as well capitalize on the time that you have.
Actually, all the new bots that are coming out are ridiculously fast. I'm excited in a way cause I really like the fast bots and the Hellburner and Strider look great.

What will the hp of a MK2 lv12 Spectre be? Anyone know? It's supposed to be a "glass cannon" But I feel like it's going to have about Boa level health when it comes out

It's supposed to be a "glass cannon" But I feel like it's going to have about Boa level health when it comes out Did some research, it says it will have the same durability as a Gepard. Gepard at lv12 is 104k 120% of that is 124.8k It might actually be hard to run in the current meta with the sheer number of ST's there are in the higher leagues.

Id guess 120-130K HP at Mk1 Level 12.

Tarans are amazing on the Bulg if used correctly, I probably get the most damage out of my Taran Bulg than any other bot in my hangar.
Learn how to use the shield, avoid Orkans whenever possible, and not be scared to rush towards a RDB to kill them ASAP

If I get a Spectre, I'm throwing a Ecu on it with STs and run it like a Bulg with less HP, faster walk, jump + stealth.
