Okies this may be a thread worth a sticky. Maybe not, we'll see...
Four questions which might be important. (There may be other questions I didn't think of):
1) Do you have weapons on bots that never get removed or replaced? 2) Do you have bots which are always available (never swapped) and ready for battles? 3) When swapping out bots, do you switch weapons on them? 4) Does your battle style include a variety of bots in your hanger or all five slots have the same bot?
My answers: All of my weapons are removed and replaced with each bot swap or if a task requires something different. I am constantly swapping out bots right now to get used to their variety and usefulness. (I have my favorites though...) All of my bots maintain the basic machine gun weapons (punishers and etc) when placed in storage. Many times I have a variety but do have three styles of bot where all five slots have the same bot but different weapons.
Your input to this thread could not only assist myself in deciding things but help others as well.

I have Gareth, Stalker, Boa and Natasha collecting dust. I almost never use light bots for tasks requiring them, I prefer using ads rather than a subpar hangar. I'm low on silver so yes, I swap weapons. I have a main setup and a secondary still viable.
Zeus Fury Tarancilot Hellfire Rhino DB Griffin Thunder Carnage
2nd
Zeus Fury Thorkalot DB Rhino PDB Griffin Pothead Leo with Magnums or Aphids
Planning to go with the first setup replacing the Carnage with Ember / Magnums Leo as soon as I hit those firetrucking 10k scraps...

Why would this be worth a sticky?
If I swap bots I tend to swap weapons on them. I can't afford to have levelled weapons sitting in the hangar.

I have a DB Griff, Molot Griff and Punsiher Griff always active.
I tend to swap the rest out. Sometime the Carnage has Zeus, sometimes Thunder.
I have a Kumiho, a Hover and a Gareth with a pool of Orks/Tarans, a ST, and working on a Scourge (or two). Still levelling those weps. Regardless of the Dashes, I will probably end buying a Lance and keeping the Tarans on it.
Sometimes I pull the weapons off the mounts before swapping bots, but usually I couldn't be bothered. If you could swap a wep on an active bot with any wep in inventory, regardless of whether it's mounted, that would be great.
At this stage I level everything to 9

The only bot/build that I've never swapped and have had for ages is the Orkan Rog. Everything else is swappable.

I usually swap as well. Specially trying out new gear on mobile mechs. But I usually settle when I find optimum gear for a particular mech such as zarnage, aphid jessie and taran aphid galahad.

I don't hv many spare equipment so the weapons will have to move around usually. Unless going after events, I have 4 fixed bots right now. I use to swap a lot but i figured out my favorites when i move from gold to expert. Same reason as Q1, i usually switch the weapons but not a must. My regular hanger run 5 different bots. Weapon type is also diversified, with 2 punisher/1 plasma/1 DB/1 mid range.

I have just reached the lowest tier of the gold leagues, I have spent all the gold coins I have earned on opening all 5 hangar slots. I constantly swap things around and try different (sometimes unusual ) mech' set ups. However, I really enjoy playing a Pin/Tulumbas Griffin and it has been a mainstay in my hangar since unlocking them. I often put weaker or lesser mechs in to see if I can score any decent damage before I am ripped apart by all the fancy mechs and more experienced pilots, Lol. I am also enjoying playing a pinata Patton at the moment, I tried it with various setups but this is my favourite. By constantly switching the mechs out I am also levelling them all at about the same rate.
However I do sort of follow one main rule which is to keep similar weapon ranges within each mech' build, creating each mech as a dedicated close, medium, or long rage combatant.

As you can see, there are some similar yet slightly unique strategies posted. For someone who is struggling with the leveling process of bots/weapons, this thread could help them. (Besides that we all may see something we never thought about. Hence my sticky statement.) I'm working on the WSP to get myself another Rhyno. Once gained I'm seriously considering keeping one available as they are a clever bot for flanking. I also have some love for jumpbots so might keep one of them available also. Maybe even one of my 3 Fujins would remain active. (All depending on tasks or maps...) Almost all of my mainly used weapons are lvl 7 now, with 3 at level 8. I'm seriously considering keeping my molets/punishers active on certain bots as I really like the damage they do as well as a couple of energy weapons. LoL Reading the replies to this thread could improve anyone's gameplay one way or another. I know it's helping me so please keep sharing! Thanks!

I've been playing for a couple of years so while I swap bots around, I don't swap the weapons much. I have about 15 bots that are leveled and I leave the weapons on them. I have another 50 or so bots that just sit idol with either no weapons or non-leveled weapons.

Yes, no, no, variety.
I currently have 65 (66?) bots in my garage. All but 9 or so are armed and ready for combat. 21 are 6/6 bots for use in 6 Pack but they see main line combat use as well since my league bots aren't that much higher (9/8 lights, 7-8/8 mediums and 7/8 heavies). 5 are armed for Marty's Rules but sadly that doesn't happen any more. The nine unarmed bots are my 5 boas (just can't bring myself to use them since their looks were freaking ruined) and a few lights or mediums won through the black market. They will eventually get leveled up to 6 and armed.

You are only allowed to use silver lights, mediums and weapons. All bots and weapons are to be un-leveled, right out of the box. Also all hangars are to be Highlander Hangars (no two of any bot). As a result, it is dirt cheap to throw a hangar together. The idea was to revisit the ancient past minus the Mag Geps, when Vityaz's were front line combat units and the future was bright! We played this a bunch of times and it was a ton of fun. The bots are achingly slow but can take a beating. Noricum Pattons are dangerous. Cossacks are the only jumper. The level 1 weapons were surprisingly competitive with the level 5 weapons. There was huge variety in the bots people were using. My hangar: 1/1 Punisher Cossack 1/5 Pinata Destrier 1/511 Thunder/Punisher Vityaz 1/5553 Pinata3x/Ecu Patton (the poor man's galahad) 1/5 Thunder/Tulu/Pin Golem We generally were all, blue and red, in the same voice channel to maximize the chaos, trashtalking and merriment. I really miss it...

The bots in my hangar are leveled up and the ones in "the garage" aren't (much). So, I don't swap them out at all although I would like to someday after my "priority" bots and weapons are leveled up.

Tell you what, Marty sounds like a darn good officer if you ask me. See, many times it DOES pay off to just "practice" different things, especially just the basics; It refreshes the mind, so to speak. And yes, I have a variety of aoe weapons which get used in Beacon Rush sometimes. They should all be level 7 before February. Right now I have no beacon tasks so I'm set up for mainly support and damage. I've been rather naughty since the Christmas fun and admit to this forum my use for gold in leveling weapons and obtaining weapon pieces as well as the quick bot. From all my researching this is considered a minor taboo, right? But it is rather Mech thing to do. (Dang, cat's out of the bag. Oh well.) My research has not been fruitful as far as long range artillery is concerned. Anyone have input there? I sorta like those on my Destriers. Being able to move fast out of range of same as well as getting into position for coverfire to an ally is a great boon. Anyone have comments? Just swapped out my 5 Griffin lineup for a Natasha, my entire Fujin army as it stands now (3 at the moment, 4 by the end of March) and my lonely Rhyno (his partner arrives by the end of this month). I have 6 different armies planned which as I play the game is 5 bots of the same model. Anyone have a personal army? Once I get my 2 bots I shall focus gold saving for another hanger. Now considering having one hanger as a holder for my main army and my main hanger as my kick name, take ascii hanger, would it be advisable to maintain bot swapping between the 2 hangers to a minimum, or maintain a battle ready hanger and only bot-swap with my main hanger? Before this turns into a tl/dr, wouldn't it be sweet if Pixonic added an option for extra garages? Could maintain jumpers in one, lights here and mediums there? Charge 1500wsp or higher maybe? How about "weapon racks" seperating missile and rocket and energy weapons? Charge 1500I or higher maybe? What do you think? Are these good questions or pipe dreams? Btw, good input everyone! I think we're all at least maintaing honor within our lineups as well as keeping all things swapable in flux!
