Got a Haechi and remember seeing a video on here a little while ago which showed how to make the dash bots glide off the edge of steep drops so that they maintain the dash speed rather than stopping and dropping.
Does anyone know where I can find it?

It's a timing thing. Try custom games on Yama to practice it, go to the A beacon side and walk towards the edge of the platform where the pole is. Just past the pole, hit the dash button. Having the pole their as a marker will help your initial practice. Once you get used to it you'll be able to start eyeballing the distance you need to make it work.
It also works to different levels depending on how well you time it. I've had times where I glide from that platform all the way to the ramp and land on the ramp in the middle, and there's been times I only got less than halfway. There's also been times I miss completely and drop straight down.
Just requires some practice. Once you get good at eyeballing the distance, you'll find several useful places to use it.

Basically line the little wing things up with the edge you want to glide over. Or time your dash so just as you go over the edge you stop.
It seems like many people still don't realize this is a thing yet. You can cover A LOT of ground very fast and put an orkan haechi close enough to attack. Usually by the time they realize what is happening they're flying toward the sky.

This is a fantastic feature. I hope its not a bug and as such its on Pixo's hit list. The fact that it takes some practice to get it right makes it fun (even after practice its a challenge). The maps are full of glide points. where the kumi stumbles there is a glide point somewhere.

Yes, let's hope Pix doesn't remove this intended feature as doing that or having Shocktrains stop at physical shields would totally imbalance the game.

For me its fun getting the glide right because its not possible to get it right most of the time esp with the Haechi and Bulgi. Its like a little achievement here and there. Also fun trying to suss out the glide spots. Took me ages to find the glide spot for the far left beacon on the moon as an example.
Because it is inconsistent it is of limited benefit. On the flip side, not sure if you own a Kumiho but that thing stumbles on everything including toilette paper and caterpillars. Fix the stumble and stop the glide probably leaves you in the same place as today. But I rather put up with the stumbles bc the glide provides more fun overall.

But I also realized, as always, that the main imbalance with the Kbots is the double dash ability, and this trick is not even worth for comparing.

Thanks everyone for the replies - especially ᕲΣΣᕲƧ and showdown for the videos which were exactly what I was looking for. This is why this forum rocks!

also learning to always double dash, definitely worth it to charge both dashes completely before using it again

Wow, I didn't know that you can do that with a dash bot :O
Also more shocking is dash bots have different dash lengths?? what why??
Why can't they be of the same length?? it's still the same dash ability for all 3 bots.
No wonder why I felt something was odd when I tried the dash ability on the bulgasari, it just didn't feel the same as the haechi/kumiho dash.
Nonetheless Thanks for the video, this has been valuable information.
Edit: I also noticed that you can do a double dash by pressing the dash ability twice quickly, so in the 1st video the guy should've been able to make it to the centre beacon and drop down on the platform.

If you dash while you are gliding you'll stop and fall at the end of the dash, just like you would if you went over a wall/cliff and didn't time the glide right. It doesn't matter much anyway, on Yama with 1 or 2 dash bots you can hold 3 beacons in about 25 seconds anyway. In BR mode that is pretty huge, especially when your team has 15 ancilots to drop on center after you take it.

Yeah, you're right double dash leaves you vulnerable.
Also, I'm seeing people mention 5th slot and Lancelot a lot on the forums, so is Lancelot a meta bot or something?
We're in the age of Dashtrains, these things can bypass both physical shields and energy shield due to a bug. So I'm not sure if Lancelot is worth $50 bucks considering the speed of it.

However, while I was testing out some of Youtube functions, accidentally erased whole channel itself. The way of gliding is pretty simple. Just measure to the cliff using the bots’ height. There is a certain moment to press the button.
