Just got bulg from even and want to try out different builds for it ..so if anyone know any good builds from it except some common ones like orkans, tarans and scrouges I’ll like to know..thnx Tarans and Orkans are obviously the best easily available choice. I've had very good luck with punishers on my bulg since you can use the dash to maintain the appropriate range vs rockets/plasma, that said it plays more like a midrange bot that *could* knife if needed. Not a huge fan of scourges on anything really... Obviously shocktrains are amazing on anythign that can carry 3 of them. I haven't used a storm bulgasari, but I've had them demolish me on a couple of occasions now... you still gotta get within 200m though.

STAGGERED FIRE
You will often find yourself without shots to fire right when you need them if you do not explore staggered fire, particularly with Tarans. Press only one Taran first for a few seconds then hit the red button, or hit one a sec then another a sec then hit red button. Eventually you can find your timing so that while some are reloading the other/s are still firing. This is ideal, although in some circumstances, such as where you are not in immediate danger and aren’t engaged intensely by CQC, firing all at once is very useful. Also, sometimes if you know your lower two weapons will hit an obstacle but the top one will reach over, only hit the top Weapon button, otherwise you’ll just waste ammunition

Scourge is an ineffective weapon in general. It requires too long to take down a target and does far to little damage against anything shielded. Using Bulgasari as a range bot is a total waste of a tank, much like a range build for a lance. At least in iOS champ league, scourge bulgasari is very easy to avoid and while you sit out somewhere hoping to do something, your team loses. Really man, is that why I murder tons of robots with Scourge or the Tempest Molot Lance? Triple Scourge is deadly when you select the appropriate targets and close range. It’s great for the range, but even more stunning when used carefully at brawling ranges, especially after the recent buff. But, I do agree that Tarans is the best build I’ve found so far. I totally agree. I run a scourge ancilot and a tarancalot and scourge consistently outperforms tarans overall with ancile and performs slightly better than punT's with a tempest b/c of the longer range and seems to hit about as hard. Ppl who don't like sustained damage weapons like scourge, tempest or punishers are mostly orkan jockeys who maybe can't see what is killing them and don't understand what is slaughtering their dashes and mark 2 lances on Yamantau or Canyon. BTW, if you have 2 tempests, I find that tempest pun natty hits as hard as triple tempest fury at 500m.

I've run a Bulgasari, since they were first available. They're solid brawlers. While I like them with Tarans they lose their ability to hunt Ancilots with them. Orkans are my current go to choice. Scourges are great on Bulgasari due to being able to use the shield while firing, but I still prefer the speed of the DB build. With this in mind my next build will be a Storm Bulgasari. I like to get close and they sit high enough to fire over shields at PB range. Don't know why this opinion is so prevalent - with Tarans you can *easily* kill ancilots. In extreme-close range an ancilot lasts all of 6 seconds and do half damage vs a Taran bulga since the bulga shield blocks one ancile taran and ancile shield blocks nothing in that range. Do you step in one them the same way, as with Orkans and essentially fire over the shield then?

I have two, one each with Orkans and Tarans, both really good. Different tactics with each but both very effective. Since I have gotten my hands on a Haechi I have been trying both on it, I certainly think if comparing all the options Haechi is better with Orkans and Bulgasari is better with Tarans relativly speaking. But it depends on what the rest of the hanger looks like and what role the Bulgarasi is taking on. My first one was replacing a DB Griffin and was a step up in every way, only used Tarans when I got my second, not because the Orkan build was better but because an ancilot was still effective with Tarans stickin 3 Orkans on a Dash and melting 「dookie」 is a lot of fun.
As @nixpilot said, the Taran build eats tarancilots one on one. Just show it the shield, walk / Dash right up close, shield to shild if you feel like it. Turn very slightly keeping the shield over one of the ancilots Tarans and your three will shoot down over the top of the ancilots shield. First time is a little nerve wracking, might need to try a few times to get it right, but once you get the hang of it, itâs a whole lot of fun. Managed two at the same time once, got lucky to be honest it was in a narrow lane between two buildings they couldnât get around each other, so could deal with one, then when it dropped straight onto the second.

I'm totally torn how to setup the Bulg,
I have 6 orkans on 2 haechis, but am tempted to put the Tarans on the other Haechi, and move the Orkans over to the Bulg. However, everytime I do that, the DB Bulg lasts through two kills and is dead.
So I moved 2 scourges and a Taran over, so I can kill between 350-450, and if someone dashes closer, I have the 1 taran to blast them away. that's been so so, but at least with the scourges I get to use the shield and kill from a distance.
The tri taran might work (I have 2 level 11 tarans and a level 8), but I feel like it has limited use against an ancillot unless I sit on them (like described above) or corner shoot soft targets like Griffins and Haechis (which can jump and Dash and attack rapidly). I'm just not using this one right I guess...(I almost feel like the Gala is easier to use).

Thanks for this. I never thought to try this tactic with Tarans. I usually eat up Tarancilots easily with Orkans on my Bulg, but had trouble with Tarans.

If you have 2 Haechis, why not do one Orkan and one Taran and then move 3 Orkans to the Bulg? I've done both Tarans and Orkans on the Bulg and while it might be my own preference, I much prefer Orkans on the Bulg. If I ever get a Haechi, I'll definitely put Tarans on it. Think of it in terms of ranges and strengths. A Taran Haechi can chew up rocket and bullet builds easily and rely on its ancile, and if it stays at the 350m range, it can dash out of range of PDBs and other plasma builds, and then dash back in as necessary. A Bulg's physical shield lets it waltz up to 300m of bullet and plasma builds to unload it's Orkans. Sure, you're in range of other Orkans too, and that's why the Bulg's don't last long in those encounters, but the worst you'll face is a DB build, and 3 Orkans will fire longer than 2 Orkans/2Pinatas, and the Bulg has more HP than most DB builds.

I actually disagree. Scourge is much better, and with the buff, I'm using 2 because that's all i got. I'd ideally want three, so you can pivot the body against the enemy. Tri tarans make you expose your front while firing, and timing is difficult to make sure you are taking hits, and then pivoting and firing with your three tarans. I'm Android and couldn't disagree more, My scourge are at L12 with 1 at Mk2 and it ROASTS as a knifefighter and as a midranger. Once you get used to keeping targets locked and reserve your dashes for when you REALLY need them this thing is a total animal. Also one of the best Anti Kumi and Haechi builds there is. The best thing about it is being able to have a second midranger in your camp without losing a knifer. It's not an easy build to use straight away, you need to give it time to get used to it, but its superb. Scourge make the very best use of the best feature of the Bulg - the strongest shield in the game.

So, I've started using my 3 Storms that I got through components. Damn, this thing is EASY to get. I once got over 1000 components on a silver chest. It's almost annoying, cause I only want 3 Storms, but I keep getting more Storm components - especially in the "Specials". I wouldn't mind another Hover, but I really don't need a 4th Storm.
My Storms are 7,7,6. Soon to be 7,7,7 and then I'll probably stop at level 8 for all of them. I might be tempted to go to level 9. If I do, they will be the first weapon that I give the level 9 treatment.
Anyway, here's some thoughts on the weapon first. 1 Storm is like tickling your target. Even at level 7, paired with magnums, or punishers, or other combinations, it was a very underwhelming weapon. Then, I had 2 Storms on a Rogatka. Finally, I could see some damage being taken off, especially when I was able to get in close. But a Rog with only 2 Storms just doesn't last long enough to deliver enough damage. When I got my 3rd Storm, I started using it on my Bulg at level 5. What a game changer that was! Even though it was level 5, paired with 2 level 7 Storms, I could see I was taking a good chunk of health with ever blast. It could also have been due to the way I play my Bulg too. Even when armed with Orkans, I had a tendency to get too close and I'll invariably run out of ammo really fast and even if I could dash to cover, fresh reds would usually finish me off. Not so with the Storm. At around 200m is when I really go to town with this weapon - unless I'm facing an Ancile bot, in which case I start firing around 350m.
I had one encounter with a fresh Carnage. Those who've read my posts know that I'm DEATHLY afraid of Carnages. Anyway, in this one encounter, rather than try to get under the Ancile like I would with my Orkan build, I started firing around 350 - 300m. The Ancile was gone in about 5 shots, and then I dashed in and managed to get behind some cover to corner shoot. That Carnage did not last long. I had another encounter, this one with a half alive Tarancilot. It was too far for me to try to dash under it's Ancile, so I simply started blasting its Ancile. Again, the Storms wasted the Ancile with several shots, and then I was getting the meat underneath. I don't know if it's shield was broken or not, or if the Storms was hitting the parts that weren't covered by the shield (I know I was aiming for it, so maybe), but the Storms chewed up the bot and spit it back out.
Bulgasari with 3 Storms is an absolute beast up close. Sure, it doesn't have the spectacular visuals of Orkans, but it also has more firing life than Orkans. I once killed 3 reds in quick succession. Sure, they weren't fresh, but in a similar situation with Orkans, I'd be pew pewing the 2nd and 3rd bots, after spending most of my ammo on the first. I'm trying to figure out why I'm doing better with 3 Storms. Could the extra 5000+ damage be that much of a game changer? Maybe. But I also think it's how the weapons are grouped together on the Bulg. All 3 slots are literally side by side, so you have overlapping fields of fire from all 3 Storms. A similarly armed Haechi probably would not do as well I think.
Anyway, I hope others will try this build too and share their experiences, especially at higher levels. I'm hoping to take a Tarancilot 1v1 soon, to see if I can still do that dash under the Ancile and kill it trick. I should be able to since the Storms would be firing over the physical shield. Will post more as I get more experience with this set up.

let me level off my Storms to 8 and put it on the Haechi and give it a spin. I saw Adrian's video on the Haechi Storm, it took a Carnage down in literally 4 secs. He was running it at 12 though, I dont intend to level my weapons beyond 9. I like D2 league im in now. Quite competitive for me.

I run a 9/9 Storm Bulgasari since Storm was introduced. I straight away bought three weapons and feel no regret.
Storm Bulg is probably the deadliest thing you can run into right now. I have three Bulgs now and I won't even try to resist...they will all get the Storm treatment. This bot has become my absolute favorite knife fighter.
Storm is small and has an awesome silenced sound. While killing at least 500 bots with my Storm Bulg during part one of the event, I saw great reactions of victims. When I flanked them, they needed a couple of shots to even notice someone is attacking them. It's all too late then. It is absolutely no problem to kill three bots in a row. The dash, shield and quick reload of the Storm work really perfect together. This bot survives where an Orkan build fails. Three Storms deliver tons of damage in seconds.
Storm Bulgasari...I call him Stormbull...is a hot candidate as an Exorcist counter. It can close gaps quick or evade rockets. It has a huge shield, meaty health and raw firepower. The health pool of the Exorcist is drained very fast. And as mentioned, the silent character of the Storm adds alot to its strenght in flanking and surprise situations. Reds don't react quick enough because they don't notice my attacks immediately. That's awesome!!!
Apart from Butch, Inquisitor and Ember, my inventory has all of the current OP 「dookie」 included. Shocktrain Haechi, Scourgasari, Tempest Fury, a million Orkans, whatever you want. I can confirm that the Stormbull is a top notch knife fighter. I'd go as far as saying it is THE best knife fighter currently. I'm having huge success with it in beacon rush. Experienced Thunder Carnage pilots will master it quickly. It's just that Bulgasari brings this type of point blank range fighting to the next level.
For Bulg owners...highly recommended!!!
...gotta go and grind my sixth Storm...lol...
