I've had a chance to play the Hover for a dozen matches in Gold 2 now.
It has edged ahead of my Orkan Rog as my MVP.
I'm finding the Tarans/Magnums are useful at hunting Carnages/Shield bots - You can get to strange positions that no other bot can and stay just at 360m and tear through several bots.
My Tips
1) Use it get an early side Beacon
2) Redeploy carefully to cover centrally - ideally up high and out of LoS of snipers
3) Stay at 360m if you are running Taran/Magnum
4) Use a high vertical jump to avoid Orkan fire if you make the mistake of getting too close
5) Be VERY aware of backfield Snipers --> They can end you.
6) If your health is low, use its speed to recap a side beacon.
I'm sure it might be different at higher leagues!
