Can I mount an Ancile on a Raijin? Would there be any "conflict" with the shield already present on the Raijin? Most of the damage I get on my Raijin comes from missiles and rockets because the Raijin is so slow and when in bastion mode it is vulnerable (not fully upgraded...I am at level 6). I was thinking the Ancile in combination with the already-equipped bastion mode would really help me a lot. Think so?

As a benchmark, a level 12 weapon is pretty close to two level 5 weapons. If most of your gear is level 6-ish, but you happened to have a 9+ heavy weapon you could throw on your Ancile/Raijin, it would work as long as your opponents were in the level 6-8 range. As you climb higher, its becomes less and less effective. Assuming perfect accuracy and equal levels, A Noricum Patton will exhaust your shield and start poking at your gooey center at about the third volley. The numbers break to your advantage when your Ancile's level is about 50% higher than the Patton's Noricums. At that point you're pretty much at a standoff. You can use an Ancile Raijin setup to level single Heavy Weapons while staying in a lower tier, but if you're already in a higher tier - not so much.

Your reply is almost like reading a foreign language. Not being an a-hole or anything, but your answer needs a deciphering machine for me to understand. Let me clarify...I play ONLY on Facebook Gameroom. Unless I meet a clan that is platooning on there, most of the battles don't include super-bots like you describe. So the battles are relatively even. They are mainly kids and old geezers like me goofing around on the computer. A LOT of folks run the Ancile and it seems to work quite well. I have a level 7 Zeus and a level 6 Thunder mounted on a level 6 Raijin right now and it is quite effective. I don't plan on, and I doubt I am skilled enough, to climb any higher than my current silver level. I just wanted to add some protection against missiles and rockets. As long as the Ancile doesn't conflict with the bastion gizmo, I will get one.

I've been thinking about this same build. Weak offensively, although the 30% damage boost in Bastion mode helps. Biggest advantage would the the psychological "Thing That Just Won't F------g DIE!!!!" effect.
With the right team mates, could be highly effective as the Anvil for the reds to beat on while your friends act as the Hammer.

As long as the Ancile doesn't conflict with the bastion gizmo, I will get one. The Ancile doesn't conflict with the bastion. Apologies for the rough prose. Some friendly advice from someone who also plays FBGR: You will get promoted above Silver. the game will force the issue on you, particularly if you add hanger slots. The raw damage from an extra bot will push you up. Here's my hanger (3 months old) with admittedly way to much play time: Its not a meta-hanger. No money spent. All the weapons are level 5 except one of the Zeuses is level 7. On any other platform with this hanger I would be Silver, maybe Gold. The issue with FBGR is the higher league will match you against what you refer to as super-bots with greater frequency - and the Ancile Raijin will struggle in that environment. While I'm not quite ready to adopt Geezer status, I am old enough to have enjoyed a beer legally at the last concert Jerry Garcia played, and old enough for my son to have faster reflexes than me I don't consider myself exceptionally skilled, so don't be to surprised if you keep climbing.

I would keep the Zeus and keep upgrading it. It does a goodly amount of damage right now and bastion boosts it nicely. Also keep upgrading the Raijin so that it can keep absorbing damage while dealing it out. I think it would make a nice combination. I've been playing most of today and almost every battle is close-in combat. I have Thunders mounted on Natashas and they are kicking butt. An Ancile on the Raijin would be an interesting combo.

LOL...you may be closer to my age than I though. I am retired and 68. I have seen some really good bots. But I am going nuts with people bringing in those weak jumping bots on my team just to capture beacons. They capture them and die and lose them.and I go back with a Natasha, Leo, or Raijin and re-capture them. That, plus the guys that camp at spawn with rocket bots that don't know how to use them. Very frustrating when you get 3 of them on a team. I only have 4 slots. Hate to spend the $$$ to get a 5th one with the teams I have been stuck with. Just not worth the money.

It doesn't. On the plus side, the plague of Cossacks we're currently seeing will fade when the holiday events sunset. Cheers!

Okay, I got the Ancile and put it on the Raijin. Now a question....is there some switch or key I have to hit to activate it? Because I don't see that dome thing. So I have no idea if it is working or not. I looked in the Wiki and there is no mention of how to work it. Do you just mount it and forget it or is there something I have to do to turn it on? On a different note...I wish there was a section of the forum that was specific for Facebook Gameroom. There are a lot of things in FG that are different than the cellphone version. For instance, if I am in the game and it is in the "garage" and I minimize it and go to this forum, then go back to play the game, I have NO WASD control. I have to hit Control/Alt/Delete and go into Task Manager and then exit it and then I have WASD. I am on WIn 7 so it may be something specific to that system, but a section for FG would let me post that info. Heck, I can't even register with the Wiki. it just doesn't send me a confirmation letter.

There's a blue bar below your health bar, and when you got shot with non-energy the shield will light up a bit. If you're not taking fire, you won't see anything (except the blue bar under your health bar) On a different note...I wish there was a section of the forum that was specific for Facebook Gameroom. Alt-tabing out of War Robots and then back in usually solved the issue. I have never had to force quite.

I have lost way too many games because people scatter to the four winds, instead of concentrating their fire on one bot. The "goals" thing really doesn't help either.

You are discovering that the raijiin is garbage. This will not change, no matter the level or loadout. Actually, the Raijin is one of my favorite bots. It has turned the tide in many battles I have been in. Maybe you just don't know how to play it? Perhaps too much time in dash bots? It performs well in lower leagues, but is VERY situational in higher leagues. The problem with the Raijin is that it's main advantages, the shield and the 30% bonus, are tied to immobility. War Robots is simply a game where any efficient player has to be almost constantly in motion, avoiding to be targeted by reds. Of course this is something that is "optional" in lower leagues, because many new-ish players neither use cover nor choose matchups. Off topic There is a very obvious skill gap on most platforms like Android, where suddenly around Diamond league players start to play smart, use cover and care about matchups. On FB Gameroom there is no such gap, the player population is so low that even a lot of Champions really have no clue how to play and use cover, often being champions only because of high-level bots. As the platform started just in late summer, players that won't invest massive gold amounts to speed up upgrades will only have hangars that are 9/9 at best, so if you buy a Mk2 Shocktrain Bulgasari you'll be Champion regardless of how bad you play. But those Facebook "Champions" wouldn't stand a chance against top Android players, even with their better gear. And there is simply no role as "beacon defender" in the game - due to the stone-scissors-paper philosophy of the game, enemies will just ignore a Raijin and head for another beacon if they match up badly, or consider it easy&free silver if they match up well. The rare cases where a Raijin is hard to defeat is if you're pressed for time (basically, you're trying to turn a game around) so you have to enter a bad matchup, or when used as sniper/midranger where you can stay outside that 600m range of any rockets or at least outside of Orkan range. I wouldn't call the Raijin "garbage", because skill can make up for a lot in this game. But I do rate it as the worst heavy robot in the game.

When I read the topic "Simple questions on Ancile & Raijin", I have a not-so-simple question on Ancile & Raijin in my mind.
In game description says "...stationary position (Bastion mode) allows Raijin to allocate more power to weapon systems..."
Although Ancile may not be classified as a "weapon system", logically more power can also be allocated to it. So...it should also receive a boost like the regen rate boosted by 30%, giving a 3.9% regen rate. No?

I sometimes have issues when I alt-enter Gameroom goes to the background and I have to do it twice again to get Gameroom back up. alt-enter also fixes the occasional lack of WASD control.

Tried Alt/Tab and no luck. Mav: My problem isn't getting full screen. I can get that easy. Problem is if I go back to War Robots from something like this forum, I lose all control of WASD keys. Only way I've found to fix it is bring up Task Manager and then exit it. Then everything works. Weird huh?
