So i won a butch after deciding to try my luck and dump some gold and am wondering if this setup would be any good. In my mind at least, it would be able to rain down a pretty consistent barrage of ammo at medium-longish range and still be useful (even getting slightly better) if someone tries to close in on you. Maybe it could have a spot in the hangar as a medium range zone control bot.
I know trebs are a good way to go as well for the insane burst, and while that playstyle is fun its more of a style i would enjoy in small amounts as it would get old quickly for me
I should also add I dont have any good weapons for it yet, this is all just planning in advance for what to build for. I've played a couple matches with the nashorns it came with, and while the damage leaves a lot to be desired, I'm enjoying the bot itself and the quick draw mechanic a lot. I can see myself leveling this bot a good bit and getting a lot of use out of it

I haven't got a butch but somehow I am not sure about the tempest build for this bot. You need to hit as hard as you can in one burst instead of more contentious fire over a longer time.. The fury does it better. Staying exposed constantly is a bit of an issue for a tempest user. The damage done decreases with distance so in effect when I use my tempests I want to go as close as possible without being in danger. And that's where the burst damage is of very high importance. if someone comes too close you have to nail that red. I tried the tempest on a carny to see what its like. It gets an ancilots shield down but doesn't casue that much damage. three on the other hand will make him think about a retreat options. Yesterday a cocky Shocktrain Haechi user tried to cross the bridge (SF) twice with the same MK2 ST 12/12 bot and the fury nailed him twice (he was gunning for me). Then I nailed his 12/12 MK2 Ork Haechi. Not sure if that would have been the case in a butch because I reckon he would of got in ST/ork range.
PS: I think he didn't play well in a tactical sense. trying to rush a fully loaded fury in the open is rather suicidal.

I have tempests and a butch and I agree with T34The exposure you would have to unload 2 rounds of dual tempests would take too long and leave you exposed too long. It CAN work and be devastating depending on how you play it, but the Fury works better for me as it can even brawl in a pinch and the HP of the Fury keeps it alive long enough to kill something.

T34 hit it right on. Two Tempests don’t have the same deterrence as three-even if they never stop firing. Unlike the Carnage, you can’t sprint away or absorb a few Tulumbas.

I just won a butch and have 4 tempests. I am definitely going to try it with them once I get the butch and the 4th tempest to a reasonable level. Ppl can say what they want about the limitations but the firing duration of the tempest almost perfectly matches the cool down of the QuickDraw and nothing else in the game can deliver sustained 15k damage.sec in perpetuity at 600m +. I will also try 2tempests and 2trebs, again bc of the cooldown.

One of my clan mates runs it. While it may not have the gratifying finishing power of quad trebs or trip tempests on a fury, it does provide nice sustained fire. You can really do a number on any long range bot and give good cover and break down ancile shields. Like mentioned above, it's how you play it and if you want to be good support with it, then it'll work imo. To each their own, GL man.

Trebs - the only way I would run them is on a Butch. Butch - the only way I would run one is with Trebs. To level 4 other weapons to L12 when Trebs are so easy attain......

I run butch with 4x trebs because I don't have tempests. I guess tempest would be good setup too. It does a lot of damage than molot.

Don’t waster your time, watch this before you upgrade. So you know the path right for you. It is your choice, no right answer. I think Tempest has been buffed once or twice after this video.
