Aside from how they rolled out the dash bots, I think this is a really great game and much better for this space than most games -- both in terms of what they offer for free to players and in terms of the quality of the game. I hope that this new revenue model they have developed works out for them.

War Robots is a game where size of your wallet determines the outcome of the matches. If skill mattered, it would still be a great game. I still play it but it's not my mech game anymore.
Make War Robots great again!

Meh. I don't expect to have as strong of a hangar as ppl who spend thousands of $$'s. This year, i have gotten 2 lances, 3 tempests, 2 scourge, 1 butch, 1 kumiho, 2 anciles, 3 orkans 3 carnages, a rhino punishers, pun T's, tarans, magnums a gareth, 4 trebs a second hangar and in a couple of weeks 2 shocktrains a bulg. I am into them for around $60. I think the imbalance of the dashbot rollout is being remedied through the introduction of new weapons and increased proliferation of dashes and component weapons. Whales have always ruled the top 50 and my hangar is proof that you can build a competitive hangar with very little investment. That compares highly favorably to basically any game I have tried. The commercials I see only confirm that most games suck and War Robots is, by any standard, an excellent game. Worthy of the time I spend playing it.

All these comments about it just being point and shoot and no skills required is totally ridiculous, and I don’t care if it’s said with a sophisticated accent, it’s bs. This game has always been point and shoot. We still use many tactics to hunt, to weaken, to kill, to control the beacon bar, to use cover in various ways, to wait for the right timing and adjust positioning, to increase combat longevity, to coordinate teamwork in random and squad and so on. Sure, there are some issues, and the meta has changed a lot making it a more challenging game. I get that people are frustrated (myself included sometimes), but what the hell, someone tries to share a positive and it gets no love. I sometimes don’t know what we’re more addicted to in this forum, War Robots or complaining. The game is still amazing and challenging despite some of the issues. It’d sure be nice to see more positive replies when people share something good about War Robots. War Robots no longer requires skill:

Very interesting take on the game. Is it great or is it addictive? Why do people play that last battle? Because its fun? To get another 20mins off an upgrade? to spin that wheel? To get that task done? In need of currency? To be with squad mates and have a belonging? So many traps. And the number of traps just keeps increasing.

Not a bad game a lot of people spend cash in these games does not mean it still can't be fun so what your not going to be 1 of the 50 top played any time soon or if at all still have friends and team mates and you get ok stuff for free not as bad as some games I have played try mobile strike. If you want to be pissed off that game you need to spend tons of cash just to play or your dead

War Robots WAS a great game. WAS. Everything is relative. War Robots right now is a very good game. But compared to War Robots pre-Dash release, it is decidedly worse. Meh. I don't expect to have as strong of a hangar as ppl who spend thousands of $$'s... You don't have to accept pay to win. It is not an inevitability in gaming. I don't talk like that in my house:

If you consider the entire game experience it isn't that great. However every so often you have a great battle that comes down to you alone and you have to hold out against two or three reds. Maybe you win, maybe you lose but that one match keeps you coming back over and over.

I hope that this new revenue model they have developed works out for them. Agree with OP 95%. I've played other F2P games, and the deals that are offered in War Robots on bots and equipment are far better than anything they have. I am looking forward to every day this month to see what goes on sale and what I can pick up. Yesterday it was an Ancile and today a Fujin. And previously it was a Rhino and a Raijin. I really don't care what the "experts" say about what is good and what is bad. I get them to please me, not them. I really enjoy switching around and upgrading things to see what the performance gains are. FBGR is enjoyable for me because arthritis and neuropathy make tapping the screen on a cellphone impractical and impossible. Only "complaint" I have with the game is when there is a squad of clan members placed with a team of pure random players. Most times that results in the game ending in 3 minutes or even less. It would be nice if Pixonic/Mail.Ru limited squading to 3 players. That would greatly reduce the "steamrolling" that goes on currently. As to the dash bots...I really don't see them as some kind of unbeatable force. And FBGR sees ALL levels of game play with MM. So it's not just a "silver player' talking. I have seen level 12 dasb bots. They can be easily destroyed with focus fire from 2-3 bots. It just takes actual team play...unfortunately something that is rarely present. That is 2 1/2% of my disagreement with the OP. The other 2 1/2% involves the "new-to-this-game-but-not-to-Mail.Ru-games crate system. I played Armored Warfare, which is another Mail.Ru game, and they introduced crates there. The original developers, Obsidian Entertainment, were fired (shades of Pixonic), and Mail.Ru took over control of that game. Award crates started out really good with all kinds of high end rewards in all levels of crates. Then, after a month, the quantity and quality of rewards dropped dramatically. The base level "bronze" crates disappeared entirely. This was a major hit to new players. It made earning crates at silver and higher levels much more difficult. Mail.Ru, as they always do with their games, ignored player feedback and went their own way. Right now, Armored Warfare in NA is a ghost town and in Europe, game play is dropping like a rock. The game is on life support and their patches introduce more bugs and don't fix old bugs. I just hope the same thing doesn't happen here.

I like working towards free stuff but the impact on play really detracts from the games. Too much individual focus and not enough on team.

I really like this game. I just play it to relax, and when events like these come up, I don't kill myself grinding. I plan out how much of what task I can finish, or if I can finish multiple tasks, and I use the hour I have every day accordingly. Course, when it's a holiday I play for 3 hours but I still don't get worked up over a close match, tanker or or a troll.

If you need 2-3 bots getting into position with focused fire and team work to bring one down that is surely something to think about. One of those bots reasonably played can decimate an entire silver team. A hanger of those bots on one team almost guarantees a loss for the other team in silver. Getting concentrated fire on them means 3 other blues are facing 5 other reds and 3 blues are locked up around one bot while neglecting the rest of the battle field. A big step towards a loss in a tactical sense. When you go higher in the league the more relevant the dashbots become and then you will face the availability issue. At that stage you either volunteer for seal duty or pay. The grind is very long. So long that its perhaps unachievable before a meta change.

War robots is still the best game on mobile devices. I love this game. Sure it may not be as good as it was before the pay to win aspect but let's be real here. Even if you are ftp, you can still enjoy this game. You will have matches where you have douche bags sure. But can any of you name a better game?
And as far as pay to win games go, this game is actually still pretty cheap. Every game that is even halfway fun to play on mobile device is pay to win. Go play some serious pay to win game and decide if this game is expensive. I personally spent 7k on a game once and I was pretty good but not uber. I was top dog for oh...about 2 weeks. The top dogs had 30k plus invested. You can't spend that kind of money on this game. Even with the multiple hanger thing.
Be happy and play the game within your means. If you're getting frustrated, take a break. It's not a job, it's a game. Not everyone can be in legend league.

OP isn't dash bots. It's clans with coms that are OP. A clan with ancilots and coms will wreck a bunch of random dash bots. And don't give me that crap about great players being unbeatable. I've watched Adrian play and all the other YouTubers as well. I've watched all of them do stupid things. Haechis are damned good assassins but they have a lot of glaring weaknesses as well. Now that I've gotten used to playing against dash bots it's very rare that I let a haechi or any other dasher ambush me. For the most part they are just another bot in the game. Coordinated teams of legacy bots can and will take them out. Single legacy bots can too as long as they recognise what they are up against and maneuver accordingly. But always its teamwork folks. That is what wins.

I did check many of the games that are running ads now in War Robots. Each one of them is "free", has IAPs, and negative reviews complaining about the amount of money to be paid. It's how games are these days, and it's sad. I guess some of the younger players don't even know games that are either actually free (like open source) or require a simple purchase of the game and nothing else.
Regarding War Robots specifically, for me it's still fun and a great game. But the pay-to-win aspect are visible throughout the game, and it sucks. And the introduction of Mk2 was a slap in the face that can still be felt .. the gear is one thing, but levelling up is what's really costly IMO.

They'd be better off just selling a 60 dollar game for consoles to make a great game. But even then you would get DLC...
Sorry, but the whole premium model needs to go up in flames. I'm not playing so I can satisfy some whale. I'd love to see a real match, you know, without a -7 handicap?

At that stage you either volunteer for seal duty or pay. The grind is very long. So long that its perhaps unachievable before a meta change. It is something to think about. It's called strategy. Not every battle in the real world is "dead even" and I don't expect that in the game world. And I have YET to see ANY dash bot take out an entire silver team. Maybe if they were in a game where most of the team was drunk, high, or totally incompetent, that would happen. At Silver level people are generally aware of things and know what a dash bot is. So they give them priority for elimination. Now THAT may piss off a dash bot player, and I wouldn't be surprised if it did. In WOT, there is something called XVM which shows quite plainly who the best players are. They are usually targeted first for elimination. Again...even playing level 12 dash bots, I have yet to see them ever "dominate" a game. A whole clan of level 12 players with level 12 bots, that's something entirely different. The game ends in about a minute and a half.

War Robots has the potential to be a ?fluffy bunny?ing great game, unfortunately we will probably never see it under Pixonic. Newsflash, but we haven't been "under Pixonic" for a year. We are "under Mail.RU", a completely different outfit. And I use the word "outfit" advisedly.
