I'm not new to this game so my advice indent fire as soon as you start a battle. Your weapons only have a certain range so don't waste ammo strait away. Explore your environment watch the enemy and study your weapons range. A.o.e weapons are good at long range also missiles. Take cover while your reloading and remember enemies will use that time to attack when your unable to shoot back

Take cover while your reloading and remember enemies will use that time to attack when your unable to shoot back Its also really important to memorize reload times for weapons, such as 5 secs for tarans and zeus, 10 for trident, e.g. This is important because in a 1v1, if he is firing at you but you go into cover. the moment the shooting stops, know what weapon he/she has, how long it will take to reload, and how long it will take you to kill him. Knowing reload times for weapons helps a lot. especially when you're almost dead. Corner shooting is also a great tactic to learn.
