I find it astonishing that so many of our own members took the bait, rolled away a chunk of their earnings and then had the audacity to act surprised. This is Pixonic we're talking about, remember? Absolutely none of the company's recent actions contain a shred of empathy for its playerbase, so why did you think they were going to curb that behavior now?

News flash, you're not some poor Cassandra who saw this coming a mile away while your pleas were ignored. You're the guy who walks into someone's house after they'd been robbed to tell them " Obviously you should have had bars on your windows and a f***ing moat with alligators, you fool!" Please don't be "that guy". Nobody likes "that guy".

Re: my earlier post - all gambling is fixed. There is no "fair chance" of winning. You'll win what the house wants you to win and nothing more. It'll be just enough to keep you spending and to encourage others to start. A few years back I worked as a limo driver. The company had a contract with a nearby casino, so a good part of my work was shuttling gamers to and from the casino. Some of these folks lived 4 hours or more away from the boat. I learned that for a casino to send a limo for you, you have to be LOSING around $100k a year to the house. WHAT?!?!?! Oh, you'll win enough to keep you coming back, and they'll comp you a room and send a limousine to get you there and back so you'll feel like a high roller, but it's gonna cost you. I'm telling you, some of these folks looked like they'd been beat up when it was time to go home. Not physically, but you could see in their eyes that they had put their hopes for keeping their lifestyle on the chance of a winning weekend, and they'd lost. I don't dare to guess how much. The "Lucky Spin" Game is the same racket, just in a video game. It still can cost real money (and a LOT of it), but at best, what do you win? Imaginary bots and weapons so you can kick butt at a video game? How old are we? Have we not learned anything at our age? Play the gambling game if you want, but I'll not be wasting my time with it. Bad enough I waste my time on a video game at all. Are you accusing casinos of widespread fraud? Now it might well be true, but it is also illegal, and is not a justification for Pix to scam players. But I think most casinos don't need to risk resorting to fraud. The odds are stacked for the house, plus people tend to be stupid especially when drunk. So they can just operate within the law without taking stupid risks, and still rake in a lot of money. Pix, OTOH, is for example in the card flipping "game" selecting the worst available card for player, and player isn't actually flipping a virtual reward card at all, that's just animation intended to deceive and defraud. Same as if house selected the card for blackjack player at a casino, instead of t coming from properly shuffled deck.

This is an honest question, not a shot at anybody.... For those of you who didn't notice that you were being charged for spins on the roulette rectangle, did you not see that the spin button has the amount of gold it takes to open it right on the button? Or does your button lack that info? I really am curious, not trying to stir the pot. Thanks.

What remains a mystery to me is that these types of gambling are legal. In the USA online gambling is illegal. To gamble in the game you purchase the ingame currency that you then gamble with. In the UK you have to be over 18 to gamble at all whether online or not. Pretty sure it's ilegal in various countries, certainly illegal in China where all gambling is prohibited. This does not meet the definition of gambling. You can NOT get money back out of the system.

Just wanted to say thanks to the OP and the other similar thread posters. Appriciate the PSA.
Question - If I use my 4 free actions and win 1 day of premium, but currently have 10 day premium, is the premium extended to 11 days?

Funny thing is, i got 2 terminal velocitys at first. Spun a few rounds on both of them. The other one disappeared. And my gold spent and "progress" gone. Wonder if they refund it... Same happened to me. 1 of the 2 games has Velocity with Kumiho has vanished and with it any progress.

I dont know about you guys, but I'm tired of them skinning and reskinning the same predatory tendency. There's only so much lipstick you can put on a frog. There's only so much lipstick you can put on a frog PANDA. And it still isn't helping the panda's sex life.

One of them is buying a bridge from me this weekend. ? Anyway, i too can confirm this is a scam. Probably illegal too somehow, cause this is not a "chance" type of thing at all, it just gives you the lowest rewards first. It basically the same as buying wsp, first is low gold low wsp, next is higher gold and higher wsp. Except the wsp value is WAY better (even though it sucks) and at least you know for sure what youre getting. I kept "spinning" just to confirm what i expected, but once ot reached these levels, i stopped.

Yes, big scam. And this is not gambling like at a casino. At a casino a good gambler know the odds of the game they are playing. They can bet accordingly. Yes the odds are in favor of the house, of course, but you have an idea what the odds are.
In this bull?poo-poo? game it's completely rigged against you, which would be illegal at a casino, and the casino would lose all it's business once the high rollers found out the gig.

Yes that is the definition of the word from the dictionary. Sadly the definition when it comes to the law and regulation is not that. Even though the law uses english, it isn't really the same language. You should give this a critical listen (NSFW coarse language) but this man is the reason we can use the f-bomb and not go to jail:

Might explain why the iOS event STILL hasn't launched? Perhaps Apple is onto Pix for outright gambling using real cash exchange for in-game currency, and has told Pix it won't be allowed? (Could be completely wrong so just a guess...)

The big problem with trying to say it isn't gambling is that Pixonic assigns monetary value to the prizes by way of selling them for real money. Additionally, the "deals" they offer are assigned a gold value which directly translates to real money.
It is gambling. Reread that definition. It doesn't say only money.

It's possible that Apple might already be onto Pix for their money-grubbing events since summer. Besides, Apple is a proactive company that will try to protect any child that might be playing (or paying for) a game on their iOS platform. It's possible Apple warned Pix leading to this delay, but who knows except for those guys?

China's on lockdown with VPNs, so currently unavailable. The video is the audio of "LENNY BRUCE: THE BERKELEY CONCERT" The relevant bit is in a transcript below. Lenny was actually a funny guy, who got caught in the legal system. The irony is that through his (self) destruction he got the very thing for everyone that he wanted for himself. The part that is relevant about the law is below, and it isn't really funny. You can read the whole thing at the link but I highly advise that you listen to it --- it just doesn't have the same effect when you read it (and this is now a somewhat meta joke about this performance).

Additionally, the "deals" they offer are assigned a gold value which directly translates to real money. It is gambling. Reread that definition. It doesn't say only money. With this logic then every carnival game where you can win prizes would be banned! And don't tell me that they don't target kids with their fluffy bears... You can buy those prizes outright (ask most places know to tell you the value) and the game is set up to give you a shot at getting them sooner/faster/cheeper than their "list price". NOTE: this applies to US only. Your missing the fundamental issue, it isn't the assignment of value, it is the fact that you CAN NOT transfer the value. Remember that based on the TOS your in effect renting bots from pix. If pix says tomorrow, "War Robots is closed" you have NOTHING, zero, zip, zilch. It isn't an asset or currency your winning it isn't even a good you "own" in any traditional sense of the word.
